Case management was certified for the first time, while systemic counselling and therapy and supervision were re-recognised.
Anyone who successfully completes the "Systemic Counselling, Family and Systems Therapy" or "Supervision, Coaching and Organisational Development" further education programmes at C3L can be certified by the German Society for Systemic Therapy, Counselling and Family Therapy(DGSF). The programmes have now been re-accredited for a further five years. This applies to all programmes that begin within this period. The following certificates are recognised in detail: Systemic Counselling, Systemic Counselling and Therapy, Systemic Supervision and Systemic Coaching as a further education programme integrated into the "Systemic Supervision" further education programme.
Last year, the "Case Management - Active Care Management in Healthcare" further education programme was certified by the German Society for Care and Case Management (DGCC). This guarantees that the training programme is both scientifically sound and practice-oriented. After successfully passing the examination, graduates receive a DGCC certificate confirming their qualification as a case manager.
For the certification of case managers, the DGCC sets comprehensive requirements for the corresponding further education programmes. These are aimed at teaching the professional, methodological and social skills required for counselling, supporting and coordinating clients. Certified further education courses are characterised by practical training, professional standards and quality assurance. Ethical principles as well as legal and organisational knowledge must also be taught. In addition, certified further education must include supervision and reflection in order to ensure professional support and coordination of help processes. Both direct interaction with clients and networking and coordination with other actors in the social and healthcare system play a central role.
In the social and healthcare sector, case management refers to the needs-orientated management of a case situation to deal with a personal problem. In this approach, different professions, services and informal help can be involved and coordinated within an organisation and in the regional care structure.
