Prof. Dr Angelika May, member of the academic management of the part-time Master's degree programme "Risk Management for Financial Service Providers" at C3L, remains Deputy Chair of the German Society for Insurance and Financial Mathematics (DGVFM). The mathematician from Oldenburg was confirmed in office for a further two years.
Based in Cologne, the DGVFM is a scientific association representing almost 5,000 actuaries in research and corporate practice in Germany. Prof May has been a member of the Board since 2007 and was its Chair for four years. She has been Deputy Chair since 2015 and is the only woman on the ten-member board.
