The University of Oldenburg has decided to cancel the three spring lectures of the KinderUniversität Oldenburg as a precautionary measure due to the spread of the coronavirus SARS-CoV-2. In doing so, it wants to help delay and contain the further spread of the virus. Usually, more than 500 eight to twelve-year-old children and around 200 adults come together in the lecture theatre centre for each KinderUni lecture. In particular, the young guests at the KinderUniversität, which is popular throughout the region, should not be exposed to any unnecessary risk of infection.
The lecture topics that were planned for 11, 18 and 25 March will be held next spring. The Children's University autumn semester remains unaffected by the current decision and will start on 9 September with a lecture on composing.
Return of admission tickets
Of course, tickets for KinderUniversität lectures can be returned. Anyone who has collected and paid for tickets at a point of sale should return them directly to that point of sale.
Anyone who has ordered tickets online or by telephone from Nordwest Ticket will be contacted directly by Nordwest Ticket so that the costs can be refunded.
