The C3L - Centre for Lifelong Learning welcomed almost 200 guests last Wednesday at the opening event for guest students in the Library Lecture Hall: interest in guest students at Carl von Ossietzky University continues unabated! Prof. Dr Martin Holthaus, Vice President for Research and Transfer, emphasised the importance of guest students for the discourse in the courses and the interaction on campus in his welcoming address. Prof Dr Dr Joachim Willems from the Institute of Protestant Theology then spoke on the topic "Who gets to speak, who is heard? Fears, hopes and everyday life in a religiously diverse society". This winter semester, more than 500 guest students are once again expected to attend the open courses, which begin on 17 October. Registrations are still possible until 31 October 2016. Further information can be found on the guest lecture programme website.
