High-ranking visitor from South East Asia

Academic managers from seven countries visited the C3L. They were given an insight into the UNILEAD programme as well as strategies and structures relating to research and sustainability.

Academic leaders from seven Southeast Asian countries visited the C3L at the beginning of June. The 15-strong delegation included state secretaries, university rectors and other high-ranking education experts. They were given an insight into international programmes and academic structures relating to research at the University of Oldenburg.
Christine Vajna presented the English-language University Leadership and Management Training Course (UNILEAD). Over 550 university managers from more than 50 countries have already taken part in the training course organised by C3L. The programme supports young managers from Southeast Asia, Africa, Central and South America and the Middle East in implementing projects in personnel and organisational development at their universities. The delegation was given an insight into research funding at the University of Oldenburg by Dr Anne Clausen from the Department for Research and Technology Transfer.
The study trip entitled "Horizon Southeast Asia: Pushing the Frontiers of Research and Sustainability", which is supported by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD), aims to strengthen global cooperation in higher education development. The participants visited other universities in Osnabrück, Münster and Bremen.
