Wherever people live or work together, conflicts can arise. Experts with specialised training, so-called mediators, can help to develop constructive and sustainable solutions in these cases. The key qualifications for this are taught on the contact course "Mediation and Systemic Conflict Management", which the university's Counselling and Conflict Resolution continuing education department will be offering from December 2016.
Interested parties can now apply for the part-time contact study programme. On Wednesday, 10 August at 6 p.m., the academic director, Privatdozent Dr Joseph Rieforth, will provide information on the content, structure and course of the postgraduate contact study programme (University Outpatient Clinics, Uhlhornsweg 99c, Room S3).
The contact study programme is designed for four semesters. It consists of a basic module and a professionalisation module and combines specialised academic competence with practical relevance. Specialisations are possible in the areas of business mediation, mediation in the public sector and family mediation. Participants complete the contact study programme with a university certificate, which is recognised by leading professional associations.
