The extra-occupational contact study programme "Mediation and Systemic Conflict Management" is starting for the eleventh time under the academic direction of Priv.-Doz. Dr Joseph Rieforth at the C3L of the University of Oldenburg. Subjects and managers who are interested in developing a career as a freelance mediator or who work in advisory professions and would like to acquire skills in dealing with conflicts and mediative leadership styles can apply by 15 March 2019.
The part-time contact study programme Mediation and Systemic Conflict Management is interdisciplinary and concludes with a university certificate and the possibility of multiple certification with the leading mediation associations Berufsverband Mediation in Wirtschaft und Arbeitswelt (BMWA), the Bundes-Arbeitsgemeinschaft für Familien-Mediation (BAFM) and the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Systemische Therapie, Beratung und Familientherapie (DGSF) in "Systemische Mediation". It also meets the requirements for lawyers in accordance with Section 5 (1) of the Mediation Act and the BMVJ's legal ordinance on "Training and further training to become a certified mediator", which came into force on 1 September 2017.
The postgraduate training programme offers a comprehensive qualification with a high degree of academic-practical transfer. Lecturers with teaching and practical experience impart theories and methods from counselling sciences and conflict management in a modern teaching and learning culture. Elements of self-awareness, practical supervision, individual coaching and networking and alumni events are further important components of the programme.
