Oldenburg. In order to comply with legal, regulatory and ethical requirements, many larger companies have established a compliance management system, i.e. a system that ensures adherence to these rules. A new further education course at the University of Oldenburg's Centre for Lifelong Learning (C3L) teaches how compliance can be implemented in practice. It is aimed at entrepreneurs and specialists in the fields of human resources, labour law and quality management, particularly in medium-sized companies and smaller organisations. The further education course begins on 2 April and ends on 25 August. It comprises a total of 180 hours, including two two-day attendance phases, and can be completed on a part-time basis.
The course teaches theoretical and methodological compliance expertise that incorporates legal, business and social science perspectives. In addition to formal standards, the focus is also on informal processes in organisations. The certificate can be credited to corresponding degree programmes at and outside the University of Oldenburg.
