Current trends in the educational landscape, research findings and tips for successful learning - the new C3L blog highlights a wide variety of aspects of the topic of further education. The first contributions are now online.

Among other things, a new study will be presented at the launch, which examines the extent to which alternatives to face-to-face teaching contribute to a climate-friendly university. Online formats can significantly reduce greenhouse gas emissions, as has been shown during the Covid-19 pandemic. In the meta-study, the researchers from the University of Oldenburg conclude that non-campus-based teaching and learning is not a panacea, but it is an important building block for climate protection in academic institutions. However, ecological strategies should not be limited to teaching formats, especially as rebound effects must also be taken into account.
