Once again, the C3L – Centre for Lifelong Learning at the University of Oldenburg – is offering a nationwide series of online lectures in the summer semester, which is just getting under way: ‘Refugees and Migration – Causes and Consequences’ is the theme of the six planned lectures, which will be addressed by representatives from various academic disciplines. Each lecture will be streamed via video conference from the speaker’s home university to the lecture theatres of the 14 participating institutions. The series begins on 20 April at 4.00 pm with a lecture by Dr Diethelm Knauf, historian and media educator at the Bremen State Film Archive, on ‘Push and pull factors as triggers for migration. The American example’. The live broadcast from Bremen can be viewed at the Lifelong Learning Campus, Ammerländer Heerstraße 136. Guests are very welcome; admission is free. Info:
