The C3L - Centre for Lifelong Learning at the University of Oldenburg is kicking off the UNI AM MARKT event year 2017: scientists will provide insights into research questions and projects and introduce students to the exciting world of science. On 29 April at 11:00 a.m., Prof. Dr Jörg-Olaf Wolff from the Institute of Biology and Chemistry of the Marine Environment (ICBM) will begin with a short lecture on the topic of "Plastic waste in the sea - understanding, recognising, acting". He will shed light on the problem of marine pollution with plastic waste and present the work of a joint project at the University of Oldenburg on the questions: "Where does the waste come from?" "How does it get into the North Sea and how is it distributed there?" "What possibilities are there to avoid pollution?" Anyone interested is cordially invited to visit UNI AM MARKT (a co-operation project between the University and the Oldenburg State Theatre). Admission is free.
