At the instigation of the Presidential Board of the University of Oldenburg, the Scientific Commission of Lower Saxony (WKN) had the C3L evaluated as a scientific centre. At the spring meeting of the WKN, the Chair of the expert group, Prof Dr Frank Fischer (LMU Munich), presented the most important results and recommendations. He reported "that the C3L leads the debate on advanced scientific training in Germany and at the same time provides good to very good research services. He rated the centre's transfer services as excellent. He described the centre's combination of research and advanced scientific training and the range of advanced training courses as unique in Germany." We at the C3L are delighted with this positive assessment of our work, which we will continue to pursue with commitment in the future!
