"Linking systemic research and practice" is the title of an international systemic research conference taking place at Heidelberg University from 8-11 March 2017. Priv.-Doz. Dr Joseph Rieforth, Scientific Director of the Counselling and Conflict Resolution and Psychotherapy and University Outpatient Clinics departments at C3L, will chair a panel of high-ranking researchers. Prof Dr Peter Fonagy, Prof Dr Eia Asen, Prof Dr Fritz B. Simon, Prof Dr Svenja Taubner and Prof Dr Henning Schauenburg will discuss the topic "Psychoanalytical and systemic thinking - new cross-fertilisation?"

Priv.-Doz. Dr Joseph Rieforth - together with Gabriele Graf - has created a unique combination of both scientifically recognised psychotherapy methods in his book "Tiefenpsychologie trifft Systemtherapie: Eine besondere Begegnung" (Vandenhoeck & Ruprecht). The psychodynamic-systemic theory and practice model forms the basis of all the postgraduate training and further education courses he leads, from psychotherapy to supervision, coaching and mediation at the Centre for Lifelong Learning (C3L) at the University of Oldenburg.
