Borderline situations of thinking
Philosophy series of lectures takes place online
Oldenburg. "Borderline situations of thought - applications of idealism" is the topic of the series of lectures on philosophy, which will take place online this summer semester. The series starts on Monday, 20 April, with a one-hour conversation between the Polish poet and author Adam Zagajewski and Prof. Dr Matthias Bormuth from the Institute of Philosophy at the University of Oldenburg, who is the academic coordinator of the series of lectures.
The total of twelve dates in the series of lectures take up the format of the discussion programme "Nachdenken mit Jaspers - Dialoge zur Zeit" by Oldenburg's local television station Oeins. The talks - including those with writer Durs Grünbein and Hegel researcher Prof Dr Klaus Vieweg from the University of Jena - are recorded in the broadcaster's studio and made available digitally on Mondays. Afterwards, registered guest listeners will be able to ask questions via the university's learning management system, which Bormuth will address in a short essay. These documents will also be made available digitally.
The series of events is a co-operation between the Institute of Philosophy and the C3L - Centre for Lifelong Learning in conjunction with the Karl Jaspers Society. Registration for participation in the series of lectures as a guest auditor is still possible until 15 May, for more information see:
