The eLearning Business Association is also expanding to become a national association. At this year's general meeting in Bremen, the vebn decided to shorten its name from "Verband eLearning Business Norddeutschland" to "Verband eLearning Business" and to open itself up to members from all German-speaking countries. The background to this was regular enquiries from outside northern Germany as to whether membership of the originally regionally orientated association was possible. Even now, companies with locations throughout Germany are already members of the association, for example "VIWIS", "M.I.T e-Solutions" and "Seipel Coaching, E-Learning". Andreas Eißner, Chairman of the Executive Board, comments: "Only through further cross-regional networking of producers, users and experts will the use of e-learning be further strengthened and market development improved, particularly in German-speaking countries.
