The C3L - Center for Lifelong Learning will be broadcasting a lecture by former Lower Saxony Minister of Culture Prof. Rolf Wernstedt on the topic of "Political decision-making in multicomplex problem situations using the example of the current migration crisis" as part of an online series of lectures on 1 June from 16:00. Wernstedt addresses the current situation in which several million people from Asia, the Middle East and Africa have made their way to Europe to escape persecution, threats and/or the hopelessness of their economic situation and life prospects. In Europe, they encounter states and the EU that are not prepared politically, legally, administratively, mentally, culturally or economically. The lecture will discuss, among other things, what expectations can be placed on whom in this process and how the political decision-making process to date should be assessed.
Interested parties can follow the live broadcast from Hanover at the university's Lifelong Learning Campus, Ammerländer Heerstraße 136. Admission is free.
