Registration has started for the two further education programmes "Management and Leadership in the Social Economy" and "Health Management in Rehabilitation". Online information events will be held on 9 and 11 November.
Resolving conflicts, conducting negotiations and managing personnel and finances - these and other leadership skills are taught in the "Management and Leadership in the Social Economy" further education programme at the University of Oldenburg. The part-time programme of the C3L - Centre for Lifelong Learning is aimed at current and future managers in the health and social care sector. It qualifies students to become facility or project leaders in the fields of youth welfare, addiction, rehabilitation, geriatric care and day care centres. The university offers the 13-month programme in co-operation with the Diakonisches Werk der Evangelisch-Lutherischen Kirche in Oldenburg.
The further education programme can be recognised for the theoretical part of the training to become a care home manager. It consists of two modules, which can also be booked individually, focussing on leadership know-how and classic management tasks. With the exception of two face-to-face events, most of the learning takes place online, so that the training programme can be flexibly combined with family and academic appointments.

When it comes to health rehabilitation, aid organisations, service providers and other institutions must work together to help people receive care that meets their needs. A part-time further education programme at the University of Oldenburg teaches how this complex process can be organised responsibly and professionally. The six-month programme "Health Management in Rehabilitation" at the C3L - Centre for Lifelong Learning is aimed at employees in the care and healthcare sector. Participants learn to recognise needs and problems in the cooperation of those involved in rehabilitation, to ensure customised care and to manage service processes efficiently.
The further education programme qualifies participants for case management and, with the appropriate prior knowledge, for care counselling. Training in the field of health, care and therapy or a degree as well as professional experience in healthcare are recommended for participation. Registration is possible from 1 November to 31 January. The further education programme begins in mid-March.
