In an emergency
If you find yourself in an acute mental health crisis, please contact the following organisations:
- In acute mental emergencies, especially if there is danger to yourself or others, please contact the emergency services (phone 112) or the police (phone 110).
- If inpatient (emergency) treatment is required, please contact the relevant psychiatric hospital. For the city of Oldenburg and the surrounding area, this is the Karl Jaspers Clinic. If possible, it is best to speak to your family doctor or psychiatric specialist prior to admission.
- In crisis situations, you can also contact the social psychiatric service in your region. The contact details of the social psychiatric service of the city of Oldenburg can be found here.
- It is also possible to contact the telephone counselling service. You can find contact details for the Oldenburg telephone counselling service here.
