Accounting and controlling

Simulation game: making rational decisions based on the reporting system

How can a company be managed using information from the reporting system? The module teaches the necessary strategic thinking and operational implementation in a business game. In teams, the participants take over the management of a company and compete against each other in a fictitious market. The challenge: making rational decisions under time pressure in an uncertain market environment. The computer-aided business simulation TOPSIM - General Management is used to develop the basic concepts and topics of accounting and controlling. The business simulation takes into account all areas of an industrial company, from production, purchasing and human resources to research and development, marketing and sales. It includes internal accounting with detailed cost accounting and external accounting with a profit and loss account, cash flow statement and balance sheet.
