sustainability management

Responsible and successful long-term management

The module provides you with a basic understanding of sustainable management. On the one hand, the aim is to ensure the long-term survival of a company. On the other hand, it is about dealing carefully with natural resources and social conditions.

In this practical module, you will learn how to implement a corresponding strategy. You will learn how products, processes, structures and technologies can be improved in an ecologically and socially responsible way. Approaches to solutions are developed along ecological, social and economic perspectives at a societal, individual and entrepreneurial level.

The module analyses models (strong versus weak sustainability), principles (efficiency, consistency and sufficiency) and concepts (including green economy, circular economy, post-growth economy) of sustainable development. Subsequently, corporate solution strategies such as sustainable supply chain management, life cycle assessment, sustainability reporting, prosumer management, etc. are developed. All of this will be discussed on the basis of best practices.
