The professorship "European and International Business Law; Civil Law" is responsible for teaching European law in the business degree programmes and in the legal training project"Hanse Law School". The central contents are the fundamentals of European law and (comparative) property and intellectual property law. In the Master's programmes, these fundamentals are oriented towards the topics of transnationality, information and sustainability.
Central modules of the chair for the Bachelor's programmes in Business Law are the courses
- "Introduction to European Economic Law" and building on this
- "Advanced Lectures in European Economic Law".
As part of the Hanse Law School, the chair organises the European law Bachelor courses
- "Introduction to EU and International Law",
- "Judicial Protection and Fundamental Freedoms",
- "Internal Market Law Harmonisation and Competition Law"
and the comparative teaching in property law:
- "Comparative Property Law".
In the Master's programmes, the chair offers courses in European law:
- Modern Transformations of International and EU Economic Law
- Selected Issues in European Economic Policies,
and the basic course
- "Environmental Law" (Godt/Meyerholt),
and in the co-operative Hanse Law School Master 'Transnational Law' the basic course
- Transnational Law II (Godt)
is offered.
Advanced courses at Master's level are:
- "(Transnational) Intellectual Property Law" (Godt)
- "Marine & Maritime Law (N.N.)"
- "Energy Law" (Dr Ulrich Meyerholt)
- "Biodiversity Law and Genetic Resources" (Dr Evanson Kamau)
