Digital Science Support Space (DS³)
This is the website of the Digital Science Support Space (DS³) at the University of Oldenburg.
DS³ is a Lower Saxony-wide project aimed at strengthening the digitalisation of research at higher education institutions in Lower Saxony.
The project offers support for HPC-based research and aims to enhance HPC computing capacity in Lower Saxony.
To expand computing capacity, new Tier 3 HPC systems are being set up at three sites (Braunschweig, Hanover and Göttingen). These resources can be utilised by researchers throughout Lower Saxony.
At six further sites, Science Support Teams ( , SST) will be established, which researchers can contact across sites to receive support.
A similar team has also been established at the University of Oldenburg.
Further virtually distributed research laboratories and the virtual Centre of Excellence for Sustainable Research Software Engineering in Lower Saxony support researchers in developing research software for long-term use in their respective disciplines, utilising innovative AI tools. Additional local contact points complete the network and ensure that all higher education institutions receive support tailored to their needs.
For further information on the project and the participating institutions, please refer to the official website: [to be provided as soon as available]
