Study plan

Master's degree programme in Hearing Technology and Audiology (M.Sc.)

Master's programme

It is possible to start the degree programme in both the winter and summer semesters.
Courses that run over two semesters are self-contained and do not build on each other.

The typical study plan according to the examination regulations of 21 October 2011 (applies to all first-year students from the summer semester 2012) is shown in the following table. This course of study does not apply to students who were enrolled before the summer semester 2012 and are still studying according to the old examination regulations from 8 February 2005.

Total (semesters 1-3)

90

*) CP = credit points, SWS = semester hours per week

In terms of the examination regulations, all modules are formally compulsory modules because they must be taken
and there is no alternative selection between different modules.
However, there are modules that only consist of compulsory courses (highlighted in red) and modules at
that can be selected from a list of courses.

Bridge semester

A bridging semester is required for all students from a Bachelor's degree programme with 180 CP (6 semesters) and, as a rule,
for all lateral entrants from a degree programme other than Hearing Technology and Audiology.
The content of the bridge semester depends on the respective previous knowledge of the students and is largely compiled from
courses from the Bachelor's degree programme in Hearing Technology and Audiology at the Jade University of Applied Sciences Oldenburg. Please note that the corresponding courses at the Jade University of Applied Sciences usually begin before the start of the lecture period at the university, as the lecture period at the Jade University of Applied Sciences begins earlier than at the University of Oldenburg.

A typical structure for the bridge semester is as follows:

Semester

(5 CP)

Audiology and Medical Physics
