Master thesis: Estimation of carbon fluxes in Bahía de Los Ángeles, an examination at seasonal and annual scales

My main interest is in the pathways that carbon can take through the marine environment, including the exchange of material with primary production and ocean-atmosphere interactions. I have actively participated in oceanographic expeditions to collect discrete samples and measurements of the parameters that define the carbon system in highly productive coastal ecosystems and naturally protected areas. I often monitored these oceanographic conditions throughout the year to investigate changes in biogeochemical cycles that affect the net metabolism of the ecosystems and carbon fluxes between the ocean and the atmosphere. The main focus of these studies is to collect data and understand how the production of this coastal marine system will respond to climate changes in the
coming years.
