General admission requirements:

Admission requirements for the Master's degree programme are a Bachelor's degree or an equivalent degree in a suitable previous degree programme in health or social sciences or in another suitable previous degree programme with at least 180 credit points.

A suitable degree is deemed to exist if the previous degree programme has at least

• with 14 credit points in the field of research methods (this criterion is expected to be reduced to 6 credit points at the start of the winter semester 2026/27)
• as well as 60 credit points in the field of health sciences and/or health economics and/or social sciences and/or sociology and/or psychology (this criterion is expected to be dropped at the start of the winter semester 2026/27)

has been completed.

Special admission requirements:

Sufficient German and English language skills must be demonstrated for this degree programme:

• Proof of German language proficiency at level C1 for applicants whose native language is not German and who have neither a German university entrance qualification nor a first university degree in a degree programmes taught in German.
• Proof of English language proficiency at level B1 according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). (this criterion will probably no longer apply from the start of the winter semester 2026/27)

The following documents must be attached to the proposal:

• Bachelor's degree and transcript of records
• Proof of the number of semesters studied to date
• Completed specific supplementary form (special eligibility form)
• Proof of language skills

If applicable:

• Certificate of internships or professional experience
• Topic of the Bachelor's thesis
