On 14 February 2009 at 10:22 a.m., the time had finally come: the BMBF newsletter machine sent
the notification of the "Start of the second round in the cutting-edge cluster competition". After the close outcome of the first round, many had expected it, and so it was immediately clear: "Auditory Valley"
will face the national competition for a second time in this competition, which is considered one of the most comprehensive and demanding in the field of business-related research funding.
Much has been achieved since last year: In addition to the establishment of two international companies in Hanover and the launch of joint products, the expansion of existing communication and working structures has also been driven forward.

After the first round, the jury commented on Auditory Valley's application: "The jury recognises the excellent networking of the cluster partners from universities and scientific institutions as well as the
industry partners, which dominate the global market in these areas, based on many years of cooperation." In contrast, the jury criticised the fact that the cluster's objectives
towards a new "hearing system industry" should be further specified and focused in terms of a clear vision. In addition to the cluster's expansion in the field of audio technology, Auditory Valley can and will convincingly demonstrate this to the judges this time - or so all the partners involved hope.
