Networking symposium for doctoral candidates

Scientific Symposium and Networking Meeting with Alumni on 20th September 2022

The networking symposium for doctoral candidates and Master's students in their final semesters, which was launched in 2020, will be continued in 2022. To mark the 10th anniversary of University Medicine Oldenburg, the format has been expanded and we are offering a scientific symposium combined with networking opportunities with the invited speakers. The whole thing will take place on 20 September 2022 from 13:00 to 19:30 in the NeSSy research building in Küpkersweg.

The programme of the scientific symposium can be found here

Networking symposium for doctoral candidates from the research groups of the Research Centre Neurosensory Science (FZN)

The Research Centre Neurosensory Science sees itself as an umbrella organisation for over 35 working groups conducting research in the various areas of neuronal sensor technology. An important task of the centre is the promotion of young scientists. Over the past 5 years, the FZN's annual conference has been dedicated almost exclusively to newly appointed professors at the School of Medicine and Health Sciences whose research work is related to neurosensory science. In the meantime, 24 newly appointed professors and junior professors have been welcomed and accepted as members of the FZN.

The networking symposium is intended to enable doctoral candidates from the FZN working groups to benefit from the interdisciplinarity and strong networking within the research centre and to network with each other as well as to discuss current data/results and research projects together.

The first networking symposium will take place on 26 October 2020 from 9.00 am to 1.00 pm with the topic "Interdisciplinarity and interaction in neurosensory research". Due to the existing restrictions in connection with the corona pandemic, unfortunately only 15 participants are admitted to the face-to-face event in the Nessy research building. However, there are plans to organise further events in this series.
