The university offers training in eleven different professions, the diversity of which was showcased by the trainees and their trainers at a careers fair over the weekend. Seven training places are currently available – applications are open until 13 October.
At the stand at ‘job4u’, interested visitors were able to chat with the apprentices and trainers, as well as view and try out various exhibits – including a ‘lightsaber’. The Vice-President for Administration and Finance, Jörg Stahlmann, also paid a visit to the stand in the Weser-Ems-Halle.
Those interested could also find out about study opportunities at the university, as the Study and Career Counselling Service was on site for the first time this year. For degree programmes with no entry requirements, last-minute applicants can still enrol for the approaching winter semester until 15 October. Applications for one of the apprenticeship places – whether as an IT specialist or precision engineer, a chemical laboratory assistant or media designer – can still be submitted until 13 October.
