For the past three years, the campus radio station has been sharing stories from the University of Oldenburg. The team is presenting some of these stories in an interactive podcast tour, which runs until 30 April.
With the Carl-O. Radio Tour, the young editors bring the audio pieces to the actual locations where the events took place. Listeners will learn interesting facts about facilities, projects and current topics – and about the people who study, work and get involved here. Where is the university’s observatory? What’s the story behind the AStA’s food distribution scheme? What does Beethoven have to do with pop music? And why is the cafeteria one of the most important places on campus?
At 14 locations across the Haarentor and Wechloy campuses, you’ll find signs with QR codes. When scanned, the podcast starts with a three- to five-minute segment about that particular location. The locations are not in any particular order – anyone interested can decide for themselves which story they’d like to hear next.
The podcast is a great way for new students in particular to get to know the campus in an interactive way. This summer semester marks the second time the tour has taken place. The audio clips can be discovered at the individual stops until 30 April.
