Prof. Dr Gunilla Budde, historian and Vice President for Studies and Teaching at the University of Oldenburg, has been appointed to the Oldenburg State Theatre's Administrative Committee by Lower Saxony's Minister for Science and Culture, Dr Gabriele Heinen-Kljajic.
The ten-member administrative committee has the task of supporting and promoting the development of the State Theatre. The term of office of the honorary members is two years.
Gunilla Budde studied history, German language and literature and education in Hamburg and Bielefeld. She then completed her doctorate and habilitation at the Free University of Berlin. She has worked at the Berlin Science Centre, the Free University and the University of Bielefeld, among others. She has been teaching and researching at the University of Oldenburg since 2005. Her research focus includes the history of the European bourgeoisie, new political and economic history, the history of education and the history of ideas.
