A nationwide online series of lectures, to which the University of Oldenburg will be connected via video conference, will focus on the "unease about Europe".

Until July, academics from various disciplines will shed light on the topic from different perspectives. To kick things off, Prof Dr Michael Gehler, Jean Monnet Chair for Comparative European Contemporary History at the University of Hildesheim, will speak on "The European Union - a successful model for the 21st century?". His lecture can be followed online on the Lifelong Learning Campus (Ammerländer Heerstraße 136, Building V03 Room 0-E003) on Wednesday, 22 April at 4.00 pm. Participants will then have the opportunity to discuss with the speaker. The Centre for Lifelong Learning (C3L) is offering this lecture series for the sixth time together with twelve other universities. The lectures can be accessed online afterwards.

15 July: "Nations, cultural identities and the European community project - from a cultural anthropological perspective" with Dr Ulrike Krasberg (University of Marburg)
