Many of Flix's works are autobiographical, such as the relationship story "sag was" (2004) or the comic diary "heldentage", which Flix has been keeping online since 2006. He also turns literary classics into comics: in 2009 he created a sequel to Faust for the F.A.Z., followed by Don Quixote in 2011.Flix studied communication design in Saarbrücken. His final thesis, which appeared in 2003 under the title "Held", made him famous. He has received numerous awards for his comics: Max-und-Moritz-Preis (2004 and 2012), Stuttgart Cartoon Award (2007), Münchner Comicpreis (2009).

Both events will take place at 6.15 pm in the university library hall. They are open to the public and free of charge. Organisers are the Research Centre for Children's and Young Adult Literature and the Institute for German Studies.
