Whether IT specialist, gardener or chemical laboratory technician: career starters at the university can choose from a wide range of apprenticeships.
Four women and eight men started their training at the University of Oldenburg in August. "The university is one of the largest employers in the region and also assumes responsibility as a training institution. In our workshops, laboratories and offices, career starters find the best conditions. We provide them with committed and sound support on their way to becoming specialists," said Jörg Stahlmann, Vice President for Administration and Finance, at the official welcome for the apprentices.
This year, two IT specialists, two precision mechanics and three systems electronics technicians are starting their training. The university is also training an animal keeper, two chemical laboratory assistants and a gardener specialising in horticulture and landscaping.
