ForWind, the centre for wind energy research at the Universities of Oldenburg and Hanover, is pleased with its appearance at the Hanover Trade Fair. This year, ForWind participated for the first time in the joint stand of the state of Lower Saxony on the subject of "Energy". Numerous visitors came to the stand to find out about ForWind's current research approaches, such as an original method for the dynamic determination of power curves and a newly developed anemometer. Visitors to the trade fair also showed great interest in the further education programme in wind energy technology and management, which ForWind offers together with the Wind Energy Agency Bremerhaven/Bremen e.V.. At the Renewable Energies Industry and Export Forum on 23 April 2008, Prof. Dr Joachim Peinke, spokesman for ForWind, gave a lecture on "Technology trends and innovations in the wind industry".
