800 pupils at the Day of Physics and Mathematics

Today, Wednesday 5 November 2008, more than 800 pupils and their teachers from the entire north-west region took advantage of the opportunity offered by the University of Oldenburg to find out about the courses on offer in the subjects of mathematics and physics. The "Day of Physics" and the "Day of Mathematics" took place together for the eighth time.
A total of 15 students who took part in the 2008 subject competition received book prizes donated by scientific book publishers, and the Institute of Mathematics and the Institute of Physics demonstrated with lectures, field reports, experiments and a poster exhibition that the subjects are attractive, fun and offer excellent career prospects.
