Oldenburg scientists cook together with professionals. As part of the event series for the city of the day after tomorrow, Oldenburg scientists invite you to an exciting menu evening at the Tafelfreuden restaurant. Enjoyment and the joy of food meet research and seek synergies. With a four-course menu - accompanied by lectures, illustrative experiments or musical contributions - guests can experience an unforgettable evening. The events begin at 19.30 with a welcome cocktail. In autumn, it's mainly the physicists who get to look into their pots and pans at this series of events.
On Thursday, 17 September, expert physicist and institute director Prof. Dr Christoph Lienau will talk about " Molecules of Food - What does chemistry actually have to do with good taste?
On Thursday, 22 October, radiation physicist Prof. Dr Björn Poppe will take to the cooker - the topic of the evening: X-Ray - The illuminated menu.
On Thursday 12 November, energy researcher Prof. Dr Joachim Peinke and musicologist Prof. Violeta Dinescu will present a turbulent menu - chaotic energies and music
