The inner courtyard of the Wechloy campus has never been seen like this before: the light show on the occasion of the "European Researchers' Night" lit it up. Several thousand visitors came on 25 September to find out about research and studies at the university and also to visit the ICBM, NEXT ENERGY, the science truck from Groningen and the "BIOTechnikum-Truck" of the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF). Among the speakers was astronaut Thomas Reiter, who told the packed lecture theatre about his "everyday life in space". The Botanical Garden and The Haus des Hörens also took part in the "Long Night of Science", which was sponsored by the EU and took place simultaneously in over 200 cities in 30 countries.
