"Clip for Energy" shows career prospects in renewable energies
Today, around 367,000 people in Germany already work in the fields of electricity, heat or fuels from renewable sources. The video competition aims to show personal motivations for an academic appointment in renewable energies, which will provide jobs for more than half a million people across Germany by 2030.
People interested in the industry are invited to present their expectations for a career or academic appointment in renewable energies in a "Clip for Energy". Any medium such as a mobile phone or DV camera is suitable for this. The "Clips for Energy" will be shown online on the portals of zukunftsenergien nordwest 2012, the YouTube channel and the Facebook fan page of zukunftsenergien nordwest. The most convincing clips will be honoured. Bremer Landesbank is offering a trip for two people in a hot air balloon for first place and Vestas is honouring the 2nd and 3rd place winners with a small surprise.
The award ceremony will take place at the zukunftsenergien nordwest 2012 job and education fair on 9 March 2012 in Oldenburg. A trailer for the video competition on the homepage offers interested parties initial ideas and inspiration. Further information on the video competition can be found at www.zukunftsenergien-nordwest.de and www.facebook.com/Energiejobmesse. The closing date for entries is 15 February 2012.
zukunftsenergien nordwest 2012 is Germany's largest job and training fair for renewable energies and energy efficiency. The fair will take place for the third time on 9 and 10 March 2012. The venue is the Oldenburg EWE Arena and the directly neighbouring Hall 4/West of the Weser-Ems-Halle. Around 90 exhibitors will provide information about job offers and HR managers from the industry's top employers will be available for discussions directly at the exhibition stand. Workshops and specialist presentations will provide information on academic appointments and career paths as part of the two-day trade fair programme. In addition, excursions to plants and companies in the region offer concrete insights into the field of renewable energies.
The zukunftsenergien nordwest 2012 job and education fair is organised by the University of Oldenburg and ForWind, the centre for wind energy research at the universities of Oldenburg, Hanover and Bremen.
