Physicist Tim Jürgens new junior professor
Tim Jürgens is the new junior professor
Oldenburg. Prof Dr Tim Jürgens (33), previously a research associate in the Department of Medical Physics at the University of Oldenburg, has been appointed Junior Professor of "Rehabilitative Audio Signal Processing" in the School V - School of Medicine and Health Sciences.
Tim Jürgens studied physics at the Universities of Göttingen and Oldenburg. He completed his dissertation, which focussed on a model of speech intelligibility for normal and hard of hearing people, in Oldenburg in 2010. In 2011, a one-year research fellowship from the German Research Foundation took him to the University of Essex (England). In 2012, he returned to the University of Oldenburg as a research assistant. The physicist's research focus includes computer modelling of hearing, audiology and speech processing.
