On 20 March, a partial solar eclipse will be visible over Oldenburg - provided the weather cooperates. The sun will be slightly more than 80 % covered.

The Astrophysics Group at the University of Oldenburg is offering a short guided tour for interested parties on the day. The meeting point is at 9.15 am at the main entrance to the Wechloy campus (Carl-von-Ossietzky-Straße). In case of bad weather (rain, storm) the tour will be cancelled.

The astrophysics working group offers a special service for all those who cannot come to the university observatory: at around 9.00 a.m., the solar eclipse can be followed live via the webpage uol.de/sternwarte/liveview/ using a computer, tablet or smartphone.
