Zubair Alshikhi (PPRE 2023-25) shares highlights from the annual PPRE-Challenge Beach Volleyball Tournament held on September 18th, 2024, at Wechloy sports ground.
The PPRE-Challenge 2024 brought together students, alumni, and staff for an exciting beach volleyball tournament, fostering team spirit and community bonding. Held on a sunny Wednesday afternoon at Wechloy sports ground, the event saw five diverse teams compete for the coveted PPRE Trophy.
The teams included:
- The Nerds Punishers (PPRE-23-25)
- SuRE Power (PPRE-23-25)
- Team Vorsicht (PPRE-22-24)
- The UnBEATLES (PPRE staff and lecturers)
- Team Alumni
Each team brought energy and enthusiasm, with new students joining spontaneously to complete the rosters. Between matches, participants and spectators enjoyed a picnic featuring refreshments and snacks contributed by the teams.
With perfect weather and a lively atmosphere, the tournament was a success, showcasing the vibrant PPRE community spirit. The event not only celebrated athleticism but also encouraged networking and camaraderie among PPRE cohorts and alumni.
