Because more renewable energy is integrated into our traditional national grid, we are facing some new challenges. In this regard, a techno-Economic Forum has been organised at Hanse-Wissenschaftskolleg in Delmenhorst, Germany, on 15th and 16th of June 2023, which was organized by the DLR-VE Institute Oldenburg among others. At the event, experts in different renewable sectors discussed and tried to find an appropriate solution for the stability and reliability in the power system with the weather dependable renewable energy sources in the near future.
It was a great privilege for our four SuRE students, who have been invited to that 2-day event. Renowned professors, scholars, and professionals from different companies and research institutions were presented. Our students had the opportunity to share their thoughts and perspectives with the experts by participating in working groups as part of the workshops.
The first day was focused on energy systems stability 2040: Technical Challenges and their technical solution. The second day was focused on Economic Challenges and Market Design.
Then challenges and suggested solutions for the prospected transition in each of the layers was intriguingly discussed by experts and professionals, and our students want to take them to the table for further discussion in the PPRE student community.
