On November 1st as alumnae and alumni and students gathered together in W16A to meet the new incomers. We started with some group activities, so that the 80 participants could get to know each other a bit first.

In the second part of the event, we listened to presentations from our alumnae and alumni, who shared their experiences and insights.

Rania (Sure 2007-2009) shared her path from working as a researcher at the National Energy Research Center in Sudan, from finishing a PhD at Linköping University and now being a Postdoc researcher in Oldenburg again.

Nachiket (SuRe 2021-2023) presented his role as research associate at the DLR (Deutsche Luft- und Raumfahrtzentrum) and it's Institute of Networked Energy Systems. One of his research project analyses the potential of fuel cell waste heat for home use.

I presented my current role as a project engineer at EnBW and shared information about the company's current offshore development and career opportunities.

After the presentations we had an amazing Iranian dinner and plenty of time for networking. A big thanks toEnBW Energie Baden-Württemberg AG for sponsoring this year's catering.
