We offer a varied programme of lectures on mathematical topics, study and career prospects, hands-on activities and a mathematical teamwork competition for groups of 2-4 pupils. Invitations will be sent out at the beginning of the new school year.

The Institute of Mathematics offers the opportunity to present modern mathematical problems and the Institute's current research areas to pupils in lectures. Lecturers visit interested schools and give a talk lasting about an hour, but also provide an opportunity to ask questions about the mathematics degree programme. If you are interested, please contact the persons named in the lecture directly to arrange an appointment.

Since 2014, maths enthusiasts from the Oldenburg region and the north-west of Lower Saxony have had the opportunity to pursue their passion at a three-day maths camp in January.

null problemo -- Mathematical Problem Solving is a certificate for maths-loving pupils in the Weser-Ems region. It is offered by the University of Oldenburg in co-operation with the Gymnasium an der Willmsstraße (Delmenhorst).

The certificate can be obtained by taking a written exam. Preparation for the written exam is the responsibility of the participating schools. Pupils from year 10 onwards can take part.
