Important notes

  • Theses are advertised via the Stud.IP tool "Thesis topics". Alternatively, the advertised theses can also be viewed on the personal Stud.IP pages of the members of the department .
  • If you are interested in an advertised thesis, please contact us within the application phase (by 15.12. for the coming summer semester or by 15.6. for the coming winter semester) with the following information: (1) name, (2) degree programme and (3) short justification for the choice of topic via the contact form in Stud.IP.
  • Applications with your own thesis topics can be submitted within the above-mentioned application phase. Please send an email with the information (1) name, (2) degree programme and (3) an outline of your project idea (approx. one page) to . Please note that your topic must be related to training science.
  • Information and a format template for final theses, a final grade style and criteria for the synopsis can be found in Stud.IP under the study group: Final theses 'Sport and Training'.

Deadlines

Prerequisites

  • You should be enthusiastic about the subject of training science and training science issues.
  • Good knowledge of (quantitative) research methods and (quantitative) data analysis is expected.
  • For Bachelor's theses, you should have successfully completed the modules spo150 "Sport and Training Science" and spo125 "Sport and Exercise Science" as well as at least one seminar, e.g. in the area of specialisation on the basics of scientific work (preparatory course).
  • For Master's theses, at least one training science seminar should have been taken in the module spo720 (Master of Education) or in the module spo820/spo825 or spo810/spo815 (Master's degree programme).
