Hochschulstart.de - how does it work?
The University of Oldenburg is participating in the dialogue-oriented service procedure (Hochschulstart) for the winter semester 2025/2026 with all undergraduate, admission-restricted Bachelor's degree programmes(1st subject semester).
The procedure for degree programmes with local admission restrictions supports the universities in their admission processes and helps to avoid vacant study places.

What does this mean for your application to the University of Oldenburg?
Registration in the application portal
If you are interested in an undergraduate, admission-restricted Bachelor's degree programme (1st semester), your path to study begins with registration in the application portal of hochschulstart.de. Multiple registrations are not permitted. If you register more than once, a decision will only be made on the applications received for the most recent registration. Any surplus registrations will be deleted together with all applications belonging to them and will not be included in the further procedure. Cancellation cannot be undone.
Please note that you can also use the user account you created when you registered for applications in subsequent procedures. Further registration would constitute unauthorised multiple registration. Do you have any questions about registration?

To register, enter your personal data and you will then receive an applicant ID (BID) and a BAN (applicant authentication number). You will need these to apply in our online application portal at the University of Oldenburg.

Who receives which data or information from you?
Hochschulstart.de processes selected data received by our university. The employees of the university only have access to the applications sent to their respective university, but not to your other applications to other universities. Data security is guaranteed at all times.
