To submit your application, please use the BAN of hochschulstart.de.

Please note that this is an online-only application procedure. Written application documents (by post) are not required and will not be considered.

If you are applying to several universities that also participate in the DoSV, you can use hochschulstart.de to determine your personal ranking of study preferences, known as prioritisation.

The explanations from Hochschulstart.de explain in detail what exactly needs to be observed during this phase.

Please note: You can only accept one admission offer in total!

After the coordination phase has been completed, a local succession procedure will take place at the University of Oldenburg if there are still places available in one of the above-mentioned degree programmes.
All applicants who have applied to the university in due form and time and who

1. have not received an offer of admission in the centralised procedure via hochschulstart.de
2. all applications that received automatic admission at the end of the coordination phase for a study programme that is prioritised lower than the University of Oldenburg. (Example: The automatic admission was in your fifth priority and so far you have not had an offer from the University of Oldenburg, which was your first priority).

If you have already actively accepted an offer of admission at hochschulstart.de, you would no longer be prioritised at the University of Oldenburg. no longer participate in the succession procedure.

The local succession procedure is separate from hochschulstart.de and you will receive the corresponding notification from the University of Oldenburg.

If you have accepted our offer of admission via the hochschulstart.de portal, you will receive a letter of acceptance via the University of Oldenburg's online portal (stums). The letter of acceptance will tell you how to proceed (enrolment at the university) with your individual deadlines.

If you do NOT receive an offer of admission for the winter semester during the application procedure, you will be sent letters of rejection from all the universities you have selected at the end of the procedure.

If you have received and accepted an offer of admission that does not correspond to your highest priority, you will only receive letters of rejection for the universities that you prioritised higher.

The letters of rejection are sent centrally by hochschulstart.de.

You only need to enter the provision point if you are NOT planning to start your studies this winter semester, but are doing a recognised service (e.g. Federal Voluntary Service) during this time. You will then be entitled to preferential admission in the following year. You will NOT be awarded a place for this winter semester!

Please note: During the coordination phase, you still have the option of deferring ALL offers of admission that you have received during this phase. From the decision phase onwards, you can only defer the admission offer you have currently been awarded.

If you have received an offer of admission and accepted it via the hochschulstart.de portal, a letter of acceptance will be made available to you in the University of Oldenburg's application portal.

In order to enrol for the degree programme, log in to the university's application portal (stums) and complete the online enrolment within the deadline specified in the letter of acceptance.
You will then be asked to print out the enrolment application and send it to the university by the deadline together with the other documents specified there.

If you do not apply for enrolment within the deadline stated in the letter of acceptance, the letter of acceptance will become invalid.
