The first "Day of Teaching and Learning" at the University of Oldenburg took place on 29 November 2017. On this day, both university teaching and learning were placed at the centre of attention for an entire day.

Under the motto "Innovations in university teaching" (with the sub-themes of digitalisation, internationalisation and research-based learning), there was a wide range of activities to see and participate in. The Schools organised a morning programme on the topic of teaching and learning. In the afternoon, many more workshops and lectures were presented. Finally, the traditional award ceremony for the Teaching Prize took place in the evening, followed by a reception.
