Most university organisations will start their work in TYPO3 by importing the existing content from Unicms into TYPO3. This initial import will be done centrally by Press and Communication!

Not all Unicms functions can be transferred 1:1 to TYPO3, so it is necessary to edit the content concerned.

• Linked headings
  If headings of the type page heading, subheading or paragraph heading have been provided with links in Unicms, these links will only be transferred to TYPO3 if the entire heading text is linked to a target address. If, on the other hand, there are several differently linked words or a mixture of linked and unlinked words within the same heading, the links are lost and only the pure text of the heading is transferred.
• Sitemap function
  The sitemap function is not automatically transferred to TYPO3 (the abbreviation [sitemap] is initially still legible in the page after the import and must be removed there manually). However, a new sitemap can be created quickly. " Sitemap
• Anchor jumplists
  The anchor jump lists from Unicms with the self-definable jump labels are replaced in TYPO3 by an automatic function that generates a jump menu to all content elements (modules) present on a page. If a certain point within the page is to be jumped to, this must be the start of a new content module. The jump list is then generated based on the (sub)headings of the individual content modules. • Subnavigation menu
  When using so-called single pages (without an entry in the menu column), Unicms has automatically generated a subnavigation at the top right of the content area. This automatic function is also possible in TYPO3 with the sitemap function, but must be integrated manually in the desired places. " Sitemap
• Image galleries
  The gallery function in Unicms required all images to be uploaded independently as large and mini versions. TYPO3 now does this work for us. Only the large versions of the images to be used are required, TYPO3 calculates the mini versions itself. A new gallery is created with just a few clicks. " Image galleries
• Different content width
  The content is imported in TYPO3 in the 3-column layout by default, i.e. there is a central main column and a slightly narrower right-hand marginal column. If the respective website has not worked with the column set in Unicms, the content in TYPO3 flows into the - now narrower - centre column. With certain content such as complex tables or wide graphics, some of the content is cut off on the right!
  This can be remedied by switching the affected page in TYPO3 to the wide layout (without the right-hand side column). This is done in the page properties of the page in the [Appearance] tab in the "Frontend layout" field. This should then be set to "2 columns (LEFT | CENTRE-RIGHT)".
