How to log in to TYPO3
To obtain the possibility of editing websites with TYPO3, please contact the Internet Coordinator:
If you are authorised to edit certain TYPO3-based websites, you can register here with your personal university login:
uol.de/typo3/
Tip: With the bright button "TYPO3 documentation" in the login window, this documentation can be opened in an additional browser tab so that it is always available in parallel.
Test user or similar
The button "Register as test user or similar" is intended for training purposes and similar exceptions and is otherwise not relevant.
HELP - Login does not work!
Login problems can occur especially if you work with different university logins (e.g. one for students and one for employees). It can then happen that TYPO3 uses the "wrong" login for which there are no authorisations in TYPO3. There are various ways to avoid such collisions:
- Work with different web browsers:
Use a different web browser for TYPO3 with which you are not already logged in somewhere using a different Uni login. - Open the TYPO3 login in a "private browser window":
This function is called differently depending on the browser, e.g. "private window" (Firefox), "Incognito window" (Chrome) or "InPrivate window" (Microsoft Edge). In such a window, no login information from other windows is valid, so you can log in "fresh" with the appropriate login for TYPO3.
Select website to be edited
If Web->Page is selected at the top left, you can select the desired page in the page tree (if necessary, first expand the navigation structure using the small roof or triangle symbol to the left of the page name) and then edit it on the right-hand side of the workspace by clicking on the pencil symbol within a content element.
